What gets in the way for gig workers

In Tallibook, your work is called Gigs, because that's what you call it.

  • Miles are your biggest write-off

Every business mile at the 2026 rate of 72.5¢ to 76¢ adds up fast. Log trips in seconds and repeat common ones in a tap.

  • Payouts from several apps

Record each platform's payouts as money in and their fees as expenses, so your totals match your tax forms.

  • Small receipts, big total

Phone mounts, chargers, bags, parking. Snap them and they're counted.

  • Tax time without a shoebox

One Schedule C summary and a mileage log your tax preparer will thank you for.

Which deductions matter most to a gig worker?

Tallibook files each of these under the right Schedule C line as you go. General information, not tax advice.

Questions from gig workers

Does Tallibook track miles automatically?

Not yet. You add trips yourself in a few taps, or enter your daily total. Automatic GPS tracking is planned for the native apps. Our free mileage calculator shows what your miles are worth.

Can I deduct gas as well as mileage?

Not for the same car in the same year. The standard mileage rate already covers gas, repairs and insurance. Parking and tolls are extra.

Which plan do drivers need?

Starter ($9/month or $90/year) covers miles, receipts, expenses, bank import and tax reports.

Can I import my bank statements?

Yes. Upload CSV, OFX, QFX, QBO or PDF statements, then sort transactions into business or personal.
