Your free trial, and what happens after

The trial

Every new business starts with a 14-day free trial that includes every Pro feature. No credit card needed.

The chip next to your account (top right on a phone, bottom of the sidebar on a computer) shows how many days are left. It turns orange when 4 days are left. The business owner also gets a reminder email with 4 days to go and on the last day.

You can choose a plan any time during the trial without losing trial days: billing starts when the trial ends.

When the trial ends

If you haven't chosen a plan, your books become read-only. Read-only is never locked:

• You can open every page, search, and download any report, your tax pack and your customer list.
• You can't add or change anything until you choose a plan.
• Receipt emails you forward are still saved in To review, so nothing is lost. Approve them after you choose a plan.
• Recurring charges wait, and pick up again once you choose a plan.

A banner at the top of every page says Your books are read-only, with a Choose a plan button.

If a payment fails

If your card is declined, everything keeps working for 7 days, with a banner asking you to Update card. After that, your books become read-only until the payment goes through.

If you cancel

Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. After that, your books are read-only, and everything is still there to open and download.
