Add and manage your vehicles
Add the car or truck you drive for work in Money → Vehicles; your main vehicle is picked for new trips, and the mileage log totals miles per vehicle.
Updated
Your mileage log shows which vehicle you used for each trip, with totals per vehicle. Tax software asks for miles per vehicle, so it's worth setting them up.
Add a vehicle
- Step 1: Go to Money → Vehicles.
- Step 2: Tap Add vehicle.
- Step 3: Type a Nickname, like "Work truck". That's enough. Year, Make and Model help your accountant.
- Step 4: Turn on Main vehicle if this is the one you drive most. It's picked for you on new trips.
- Step 5: Save.
If you added a car when you set up your business, it's already here as your main vehicle.
Change or retire a vehicle
- Tap the pencil to rename it, fill in the details or make it your main vehicle.
- Sold it or stopped using it for work? Tap the archive button. Its past trips keep it, and it no longer shows up when you log a trip. Show archived lets you restore it.
Car costs and your vehicles
When you add an expense in a car category, like Parking & tolls, Tallibook fills in your main vehicle, so the cost shows up with that car. See How the mileage deduction works for which car costs count.
