Record a payment and mark an invoice paid
When a customer pays, open the invoice, tap the paid button (like "Maya paid") and enter the amount, date and how they paid; it's added to your income for you.
Tallibook doesn't take card payments yet, so when a customer pays you by check, Zelle, Venmo, cash or any other way, you record it on the invoice.
Record the payment
- Step 1: Open the invoice.
- Step 2: Tap the paid button. It uses your customer's first name, like Maya paid.
- Step 3: Check the Amount (it starts at what's still owed) and the Date received.
- Step 4: Pick how they paid: cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, card, bank transfer (ACH) or other.
- Step 5: Optional: a Reference, like a check number or confirmation code.
- Step 6: Tap Save payment.
Paid in full? The invoice turns Paid and you get a little celebration. Paid part of it? It shows Partly paid with the balance still owed. Record the rest when it comes in.
It's added to your income
Each payment also adds the money to Money → Income with a Paid invoice badge, so your totals and tax reports include it once. Don't add it again as income by hand.
Made a mistake?
Owners and admins can remove a payment from the Payments list on the invoice. The income it created is removed too, and the invoice goes back to sent or partly paid.
Paid before you moved to Tallibook
Open invoices you brought in with Move to Tallibook keep what was paid before the move, without counting it as new income.
