How Tallibook keeps your data safe
Your data travels over encrypted connections and is stored encrypted (AES-256); each business is walled off from every other, files open only for people signed in to your business, we never store full Social Security, bank account or card numbers, and we never sell your data.
Your business records are yours. Here's how we protect them.
Encrypted everywhere
Everything between your phone or computer and Tallibook travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your records and files are stored encrypted with AES-256, the same standard banks use.
Your business is walled off
Every record belongs to one business, and Tallibook checks that on every request. No other Tallibook customer can see your customers, money, receipts or reports.
Private files
Receipt photos, imported statements and meeting recordings never sit at a public web address. They open only through Tallibook, for people signed in to your business.
What we don't keep
- No full Social Security numbers or tax ID numbers.
- Only the last 4 digits of a bank account (shown as ••1234), so you can tell your accounts apart.
- No card numbers. When you pay for a plan, your card goes straight to Stripe, our payment provider.
Safe sign-in
- Passwords are stored scrambled (hashed), so nobody at Tallibook can read them.
- New accounts confirm their email address.
- After several wrong passwords, sign-in pauses for a few minutes, which stops people guessing. More in Sign in and stay secure.
You decide who's on your team
You choose who joins your business. Members can add and edit records, but only owners and admins can delete important records or download reports and exports. See Invite your team.
AI that stays in its lane
When you snap a receipt, use voice or record a meeting, our AI providers (Anthropic for reading text and images, Deepgram for turning audio into text) process it only to give you the result. They don't use it to train their AI. Meeting audio is deleted 90 days after the notes are ready, unless you choose a different schedule.
Never sold
We don't sell your data and don't use your business records for advertising. Tallibook has no advertising or tracking cookies.
Who at Tallibook can see it
Tallibook staff only look at your records when you ask us for help, when we need to keep the service running safely, or when the law requires it.
Yours to take with you
You can export your records at any time, even after a free trial ends and your account is read-only. To close your account, email us at hello@tallibook.com from your sign-in email.
If something goes wrong
No service can promise perfect security. If a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you promptly. Our privacy policy has the details.
